hello. i m currently typing from Sukasonghorn School, Mae Hong Son, Northen Thailand.

yeap one week has passed. and judgin from the tagboard, no one has missed me much.

i will be back after two more weeks.

I m here on a community service project. service learning.
and yes, i M a teacher.
i teach p3 maths and english, M1(sec1) science and M6(science).

yeap , arts student totally teachin science. but the thing is my whole team underestimated their academic abilities and we prepared lesson plans that turned out to be useless.

these kids are somewhat similar level of even better(science topics) than us.
jus that they learn everything in thai language.

and their english is really zero.
initial period here was bad; lesson plans were useless, kids stared at you, u stare at the kids.
their english sucks and our thai sucks.
so yes, but somehow, we managed and we have gotten the hang of things.
we do impromptu lesson plans and teach them english rather than maths and science.
translate,use the dictionary.
the food here is yum!

but the weather is different. in the night, it is freezin cold and it gets dark at 6.
afternoons are relatively hot.

the people here are warm and friendly, the kids generally want to learn and are respectful.

am i homesick..
YEAP!

but its not the phone or the computer or the heater baths that i miss.
its my loved ones of course.

but its a challenge i put myself thru and told myself that I WOULD survive...
and yes,
i have learnt so mcuh that i couldnt have at all anywhere else.

so i thank God for the opportunity and i hope all of you are doin good.

today is the King's birthday and we all have to wear yellow. hence the colour of this post.
