Dont Mess!

m a faithful reader of urban.
and this week's issue was ahhhh , somethin i like.

i have made several fashion mistakes. ah yes... those were da times.
i m not THE urbanista-cum-fashionista.
i m still gonna make fashion pauxes as i go along.
but at least i learn dammit.
and i learn FAST.

but what i m quoting here .is somethin i have exasperatedly told ppl.
well hear it from the experts, if not from me then :)

Jeanette Ejlersen,39, senior fashion & beauty editor of Her World Mag.

'Fashion is just not about flaunting your skin. Singapore women always attribute it to the weather, but the weather in India is hotter and drier, yet Indian women dont dress like that.'

'They just pluck a lot of ideas from Japanese and Taiwanese shows, then wear it the same way.'
(hopefully we have lesser pink and white shops in far east)

'Singaporean women are not conservative when it comes to baring their arms, busts and midriffs. But they are conservative in trying new fashion ideas. I find this a huge irony.'

And another quote from Tokyo-Born Hideki Akiyoshi,40.

'They think sexy means tight pants and midriff-baring tops to show their skin. Very instant fashion. There is no brains behind such dressing. I call this the Plastitude-an amalgamation of plastic attitude.'

Ah yes.
ok see... i admit HONESTLY. there was this phase where i tot fashion was all abt revealing.
but i got over it fast.
thank gawd. and there are ppl i know who havent.
and its sad
and u are old dammit.

its da same with makeup too. ur face isnt a blank piece of paper where u simply 'paint' using
ur new MAC eye shadow cum lip gloss palette.
tsk . its supposed to COMPLEMENT ur facial features.
not overpower them :)
thats why i always sayy ' this colour wont suit dark skin' cos it wont and NOT BECAUSE i want u to say i m not dark.
*rolls eyes.

and okay...increasing number of women dress so ....(insert appropriate word).
i think i have told to a few.....when i see someone.... sexy not equals to slutty.
theres this goddamn thin fine line.
and many indian women cross it. and its sad. coz lets admit it, we are more well endowed .
it looks vulgarest.

sighs.

and yes, i would prefer if u guys dint have any opinionated comments on this post, coz seriously...
this is MY opinionated comment and if u gonna give me an opinion on my comment, and if someone else is gonna comment on ur opinion then i would have to comment on both of ur opinions and mention that what i mentioned was simply my opinionated comments.
i dont like confusion.
i dont like wars.
i opt for peace.
all da time. :)

did i mention?
i love big bags and i cannot lie!
i got ANOTHER ONE. to add onto the collection.
its orange and i love itt. ah yes.
